About Us

The Community Bank Barwon Heads officially opened in Barwon Heads 6 September 2012.

From our humble beginnings as a small team serving Barwon Heads, we’ve grown and evolved, expanding our reach to support the wonderful communities of Barwon Heads, Armstrong Creek, and the surrounding areas.

We believe in banking with a big impact so we reinvest up to 80% of our profits back into the community, meaning your banking helps to fund local initiatives and support groups. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Over the years, thanks to the incredible support of our customers, we’ve funded numerous community projects. We’ve provided essential equipment for local sports clubs, supported art gardens, community halls, schools and scholarships, and youth support groups.

We aim to create lasting & meaningful impacts for our communities as your preferred bank.

Community Investment Funding

Grants

Our grants are paid to an organisation to address a social issue within the community or to enable them to deliver a specific, standalone project that will benefit local residents. Sponsorships

We sponsor events, projects or organisations through the provision of money, goods or services in return for customer acquisition opportunities and brand recognition.

Scholarships

Our scholarships support students to further their studies with less financial burden.

Donations

We provide services and financial support to help achieve social outcomes in our communities.

Leadership Program - Applications now open

The 2026 Community Bank Barwon Heads - Activate Leadership Program aims to enhance local leadership, pride and connectedness to Barwon Heads to maintain greater human capital in our region and support the next generation of community leaders. 

The Activate Leadership Program spans across 9 weeks and will run from September to November. Specific dates can be found here. Participants are expected to attend at least 80% of the program as less than this will impact the learning experience. There will be a small amount of preparation required before each session and follow up activities.  You will be notified of the outcome of your application by 31st August.
